I appreciate your guys' response in my defense. Posts like these can make it hard to visit the forum, but it is a result of my own doing. I have promised a lot, and my generosity and effort to please everyone seems to have outstripped my ability. In frustration I have made some lame excuses, which do nothing to quell the growing tide of resentment. Indeed, I am supporting ListMail, doing some hosting, trying to diversify a little and have been dealing with some life issues, but I realize ListMail is a sure thing and it would be foolish to let it die without making good on the next update. So I come back with, at worst, a few extra bucks a day and more knowledge of PHP to put to good use.
I have no shortage of features on the list for addition, and by browsing the program it is easy to see where improvements can be made. I am fairly good at thinking like a user. I work with some clients on a daily basis, tweaking servers, responding to questions, etc. to make sure their mailings go smoothly, so I can see a lot of the errors a user sees, as well as ones they don't. You might find some of the existing features unexpectedly thoughtful. My programming skills have come a long way - more complex features and page designs are becoming easier for me to create and manage.
For example, since I wrote the last post regarding the bounce feature I completely redid it... There will be unlimited rules which can be a "string" or "regexp" match. There are 3 things you will be able to do with bounces that matches a rule: 1) Hard bounce 2) Ignore (for warning messages) 3) Ignore and notify, with optional text to include with the notification (for spam blocks). The ability to "review messages the don't match a rule" will be able to be turned on or default to another mode such as "hard bounce" (the way it is now). I can't resist sharing because it's exciting to think that some of the major drawbacks that have plagued users and myself will soon be solved.
I've been down and out lately, but I'm back. I will show you what I've learned, through LMP, as soon as I can. There is still much work to be done, but the direction is clear - I don't think I need much more input for the time being. Thank you for your continued patience.
